American Flyer 313 Vintage S PRR 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender – Restored

This is an American Flyer 313 Pennsylvania K5 4-6-2 Locomotive with Tender – Restored. This locomotive features die-cast body, a powerful motor, reverse unit, operating light, metal tender, with die-cast trucks and operating knuckle couplers.

Introduced in its prototype form in the late 19th century, the 4-6-2 would take the world by storm at the turn of the 20th century, being seen as one of the biggest innovation in the history of locomotives — the 4-6-2 would quickly finds its place in rail-yards across the world. Heralded for its ability to haul passengers, the 4-6-2 was a versatile model hauling freight and coal as well, with tank variants being introduced later during the 20th century. Traveling at speeds upwards of 100mph the 4-6-2 was featured on rail-ways ranging from Argentina to Egypt, and all the way to the far East in China! There is wear and light tarnish on the wheels from previous use. The axles and underframe show light tarnish and residue. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
